Passport and Visa
  • Please forward the copy of your passport to us before the arriving date.
  • US citizens can call San Francisco information (662) 895-6576or you can search under “U.S. Government offices” in the white pages to find the phone number of your local passport office.
  • For most tourists, a stay of no more than 30 days does not require a VISA. For further information on Thailand’s entry/exit requirements, please contact the Thai consulate in your country or your travel agent.
  • Visa may be obtained from all Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates General.

  • For visitors from 15 other countries, transit visas valid for 15 days may be obtained at the cost of 300 Baht on arrival at immigration check points.
  • A tourist who wants to have her visas extended must apply to the immigration Bureau with the following: passport with a xerox copy, one photo, a 500 Baht extension fee and the medical certificate.
  • If you overstay your visa, the penalty is a fine of 200 Baht for each extra day, with a limit of 20,000 Baht.

  • The period of your total stay should be discussed before scheduling your flight. Please arrange your flight to arrive Bangkok before your surgery 2-3 days.
  • Aspirin and Vitamin E must also be halted 2 weeks before surgery as they interfere with normal blood clothing.
  • No need for any particular vaccination except for those who come from or through the countries where there are reported cases of Yellow Fever.
  • Please do not carry any unnecessary drugs or personal belongings in your baggage. For clothing – Thin cotton is the best.
  • For travelers leaving Thailand, the maximum amount permitted to take out without prior authorization is 50,000 Baht per person.

In order for us to arrange to pick you up from the airport on arrival departure and reserve the hospital room for you in advance.

Personnel Belongings

Please carry only essential belongings.

If the patient arrives alone, it is essential to travel with light luggage (max. 25 kgs) to avoid risking injury during the 4-6 week recovery period.
